Ford Wheel Locks
2008 Lincoln Town Car
Wheel locks are useful items to have to protect your Ford’s premium wheels. Especially if your vehicle comes with a massive upgrade such as the Raptor package on the Ford Ranger or the popular Tremor package, your wheels can become an attractive target for theft.
Do Wheel Locks Work Against Theft?
Often confused with wheel chock locks and wheel lock clamps, wheel locks are special lug nuts with uniquely shaped slots that turn only using a matching key. Without the correct socket or key, your wheels are unable to be removed, deterring attempts to steal your wheels and tires.
How to Find Wheel Lock Key Code
In the unfortunate event of losing your wheel lock key, you won’t have to worry too much. You can still remove your wheels if needed by finding the correct key code. The best way to find the code is to contact the wheel lock’s manufacturer. You can then order a replacement key. Alternatively, you can find the key code in the wheel lock’s manual or service book, or in the wheel lock’s box, bag, or packaging.
